Frequently asked questions

At WanderPour, bartending is just the beginning. We pride ourselves on outstanding customer service, personalized experiences, and going the extra mile—so your guests feel taken care of from the first pour to the last call.

Why do we have to fill out the client questionnaire?

Simple — your event is important to us. It allows us to tailor our service to your needs, avoid last-minute surprises, and make sure everything flows effortlessly. The better we plan, the better we can serve — and that means giving you our absolute best on your big day.

How many bartenders do we need?

The answer is in your numbers. For events with 60+ guests, we recommend two bartenders. This ensures no one is waiting for a drink, bar items stay fully stocked, and service flows smoothly throughout the night. Having an extra bartender also means we can help beyond the bar — opening wine at tables, clearing glasses, emptying garbage, tidying up, and taking care of the little details many people don’t think about, but that make a big difference. The goal is simple: a seamless event where everything runs smoothly and your guests are taken care of from start to finish.

What do our bartenders wear?

Our standard look is all-black attire with comfortable black shoes — clean, professional, and event-appropriate. That said, we love when hosts want to get creative. If you’re envisioning something different, just let us know and we’ll do our best to make it happen. We’ve dressed up in grunge rock outfits, giant clown ties, and everything in between. Your event, your vibe. Our default is classic black — but the final look is always up to you.

Can you provide other items? Yes — we can!

For an additional cost, WanderPour can provide glassware, tables for behind the bar, disposable cups, and cocktail napkins. We can also create custom drink signage, including signature cocktail signs designed to match your event style. If you’re looking for a more turnkey bar experience, just let us know — we’re happy to help customize what’s included.

Is WanderPour Insured?

Yes! We use PAL insured bartenders $1M Liquor Liability coverage Coverage applies to alcohol service only Event hosts should carry their own event liability insurance, as coverage does not extend to the host. Professional. Prepared. Protected.

Do you have a liquor license?

The short answer is no — and that’s because WanderPour does not purchase alcohol for your event, we serve it. Depending on where your event is held, you as the host may be required to obtain a Special Occasion Permit (SOP). An SOP is a legal document that allows alcohol to be served or sold at a specific event, for a limited time, in a location that is not your private residence or a permanently licensed establishment. Once your SOP is approved, you will purchase your beer, wine, and spirits directly from the LCBO. You will be required to present your SOP at the time of purchase. This process keeps everything compliant, transparent, and stress-free — and we’re always happy to help guide you through it so your event runs smoothly from start to finish.

Do you know how much alcohol and supplies we’ll need?

Yes — and we’re happy to help. WanderPour provides a detailed, customized list of suggested liquor, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies, with recommended quantities based on your guest count. This helps you avoid over-buying, under-buying, and last-minute stress — so everything is ready and your bar runs smoothly all night long. Planning made simple. Service done right.

What do our bartenders show up with, other than smiles on their faces.

We come prepared — really prepared. Our bartenders arrive with a fully stocked bar bag, thoughtfully put together with everything we could think of that might be needed for your event. After seeing it all over the years, we’ve customized our bar bags to handle a wide range of situations. Inside you’ll find essentials like bottle openers, liquor pourers, bar lime/lemon, a water dispenser, ice bowl with scoop, sanitizer with bar cloths, paper towels, and more. We also carry an “oh-crap” extras kit — bobby pins, candles, lighter, band-aids, and other small but important items — including a naloxone kit, because guest safety always comes first. Simply put: our bar bags are built to keep your event running smoothly and responsibly from start to finish.
